We offer two types of diagnostics. The first is a plug in and code read. This is for when the dreaded engine management light comes on but there are no other symptoms. The other is a fault diagnostic where we will spent up to an hour investigating a specific fault. If further investigation time is needed, we will seek permission first and offer an approximate time and cost required.
Most modern vehicles have several Electronic Control Units (ECUs) installed to monitor and manage various electronic systems. If a fault occurs in any of these systems a code is created that is usually stored within the associated ECU. At Suttonz we can use our State-of-the-Art diagnostic equipment to connect to your vehicle and read any fault codes that may be stored. We then use these to diagnose any faulty components allowing us to resolve the problem.
