Regas:

If your air conditioning system is not blowing cold air then this could indicate that you need an air conditioning re-gas.
Over time air conditioning systems can lose their gas typically 10% per year, especially when they arenโ€™t used regularly. You may well find that as it becomes less efficient the car more uncomfortable in hot weather and during the winter, it will take much longer to defrost the windows.

During an air con regas we will:

  • Remove the old refrigerant from the system.
  • Perform a pressure test on the system to ensure there are no leaks.
  • Refill the system with the correct refrigerant alongside a dye to assist in diagnostics if you were to have any issues in the future.
We can also book you in for aircon leak detection if you already know there is an issue with your vehicle’s system.
If you book in for an aircon service, you will receive the same process as the air con regas, as well as sanitisation of the vents and bad odour elimination.
We recommend an air con service every two years to ensure everything is in good working order. We would also advise using your air con all year round, even at low levels. This stops any seals from drying out and causing leaks.
